11th Tale: Magic [Voice]
[Henry had been reflecting on things that had happened back home. Things that had happened with Peter Pan, his special heart, all of what happened in Neverland. He was sitting in his bedroom looking over the sword he once believed into existence on Neverland.
If he could just believe a stick into a sword, he wondered what else he could do. He looks into his comics because he's pretty sure he's read about belief powers before. And to his credit he does manage to find something similar to it. Reality warping. Just believing in doing something and making it happen.
He mulls it over in his head for a moment. He's pretty sure he's not able to mess with reality at all. Magic had a price where he came from but the rules seemed to change wherever he went.
So, he goes on the network. If only to ask if anyone knows more about this kind of stuff.]
Do you guys think magic changes depending on what world you're in? The rules I mean. Where I'm from magic always comes with a price, but, is it possible that in other places that it doesn't? Like just believing in something and you can do it?

It depends on the element and how much one is able to listen to their element. [The word she's looking for is training.] Some may need to surround themselves with their element to live; others may in time learn harmony with it. There is an elder in my clan who can turn his very body into stone. I once watched him grow plants out of his claws. [She speaks in awe of him. As he is a very wise and old dragon. She would like very much to one day be as close to her element as he is.]

[For a kid who isn't particularly religious he's not a hundred percent sure how that'd come about.]
Than it's kind of like the spirits here. You need to listen to them if you want to learn their magic.
[But, wait, one sec. Did she just say-?]
Whoa, cool! So he'd be kind of like The Thing. Except I don't think the Thing could grow plants out of his fingers.

[Being unable to read the guide and usually not overly talkative she had actually missed where people could learn from the spirits. She had of course heard them many times before and had just never thought to ask.]
The spirits here can teach magic? I had not heard of such a thing before.
[Although "The Thing" comment makes her wrinkle her nose.] He is not "A Thing". He is a very wise elder. A proud dragon and you should treat the knowledge of his existence as such. [She would not have told you of him if she knew you'd call him a thing!]

[Enchanted Forest, Harry Potter...hm.]
Uh huh. You just got to listen to them or something wherever their natural habitat might be.
[Her words on "The Thing" Makes him confused for a moment. What did he-? Oooh...]
No, no! I'm talking about someone else. He's a superhero called The Thing who's made of rock and stuff!

[She relaxes just slightly once it has been cleared that this boy was not speaking that way of her elders.]
A superhero? If he is made of rock should he not be called The Rock?
