So who decides who gets magic?
[For a kid who isn't particularly religious he's not a hundred percent sure how that'd come about.]
Than it's kind of like the spirits here. You need to listen to them if you want to learn their magic.

Whoa, cool! So he'd be kind of like The Thing. Except I don't think the Thing could grow plants out of his fingers.
